Noah "Soggy" Sweats famous speech

This was a speech given by Noah Sweat in 1952 on legalizing alcohol, it was presented among the Mississippi state legislature. He provides a clear cut argument both for and against the topic but he leans more heavily towards the side that agrees with legalizing alcohol and it is prevalent in his speech. The point Soggy is attempting to get across is the fact that whiskey adds enjoyment to life and there are more good reasons to have it around than to keep it banned. Ultimately a man chooses his own destiny and it is unfortunate that some people abuse alcohol to the point where they have nothing left; but for most of us it is enjoyable and a pleasant time to be able to sit down with a few good friends and be able to "magnify our joy"; as he puts it.
Enjoy!
